Yep. Blood accumulates in your stomach, then you start throwing it up. Often violently. Aspirate badly and then it’s worse / you may well die.
Happened to both my Mom and Dad (although they both survived horrific episodes, with Dad succumbing to another months later as he was inoperable.)

In that 1st bad case with my Dad, he was already hospitalized, the doctor phoned me, and as she, bedside, was talking to me he erupted even more violently. You know it’s bad when an experienced doctor gasps “Oh, My God!”
