I know what you are hinting at. There is a lot of hate for the Irish diaspora from supposedly Irish commenters on the internet.
They even issued a stamp honoring Che Guevara, who was half-Irish.

I’m half Irish, but I’m deeply ashamed of it.
Americans express love and admiration for the Irish but, believe me, many Irish don’t reciprocate those feelings. Many Irish hate the US and Americans and are extremely left wing.
I have no use for Ireland.
