I get it, the English were bad to the Irish, I’ve even referred to the Potato Famine as a genocide, because England wanted to reduce the Irish population.

But still, to turn a blind eye to Hitler because of it, was ridiculous.

Yes, good point. I should have noted the effect of the Potato Famine on Irish thinking. The UK is bad. So an enemy of the UK (Germany) is perhaps not so bad.

And I agree with you. The Potato Famine was genocide.
