Hearing the news this week that Wayne Rooney got a vasectomy makes me think of my own decision to go under the knife. If I’m honest, in the three years it’s been since the procedure, I’ve often wondered if it was the right thing to have done. But every time my mind wanders there, I take a moment and, with a clear head, see it as being one of the best and most important decisions of my life.
Already blessed with children from previous relationships, I met my current and forever partner. She also had two children from a previous relationship, so between us we had a larger-than-average family. This is probably not uncommon in a blended-family situation, but the realities of having such a large brood soon became apparent – the logistical obstacles and need for larger vehicles, among a host of other things.
But like plenty of new couples, we definitely both felt what I can only describe as a sort of “urge” that simmered under the surface. I guess it’s one of the most primaeval urges we feel – bringing a new life into the world with the person you love.

I almost had to replace the kid yesterday. He’s now 24 and has become a certified hero.
He’s a trucker for a landscape company. He usually drives a semi but was hauling a dump truck load of stone yesterday. A school bus driver pulled out a side road in front of him yesterday. He jammed the brakes and tool a hard swerve to miss the bus and any kids who may have been on it.
A witness told him that he had the truck on two wheels for a bit before it rolled onto the side and hit a bridge abutment. My son was sore but unhurt.
The school bus driver left the scene.
Got some Scripture to support that?
Besides, if it was solely for procreation, then what's the pint of making it so enjoyable and having it continue past child bearing years?
Or should couples who can't have kids not bother to have sex?
But that doesn’t support predetermined church doctrine so that can’t be the *correct* “interpretation”.
why ask me? OP had the heartburn with this.
I didn’t. It was a courtesy ping.
That means that before the fall, conception was not likely to be a common event therefore sex was mostly for pleasure.
If sex was for procreation, God could have just caused women to go into heat every couple years. Just take the pleasure out of it all until then then there would be no issue of married couples having sex for the fun of it because they love each other.
gotcha.... but i hope other guy does not include me in a response. Nutbar. Sure wish there was a way to block folks here.
The best I’ve found is that I just ignore the posts when someone I see that I have a response from the poster I refuse to engage with.
i am getting good at just deleting without reading.
Speaking of which, and also slightly on the topic of getting snipped, I had to have an operation to get my ding dong smallered. It was such a pain having to find a bridge to accommodate every time I needed to pee. Bad enough the water was cold.
But it was deep, too!
Thank you. Thank you very much. I'll be appearing every Thursday night here at the Thunderbird. You've been a great audience.
Try the veal...
Does anyone actually read posts anymore. I never said that it was solely for procreation. Indeed, I acknowledge its unitive purpose. But you cannot use this to deny its purpose of procreation.
oh you ass.
