Tony Pritzker, heir to the Hyatt hotel chain, is divorcing his wife of 33 years and asking a judge to enforce the prenup to protect his $3.7billion fortune.
Documents obtained by DailyMail.com show Pritzker, 62, and his wife Jeanne Pritzker have split citing 'irreconcilable differences' and he claims she refuses to sign a document acknowledging that their prenup is valid and enforceable.
There is much at stake, including the couple's behemoth known as 'the Pritzker Estate', which was the second largest residential property in Los Angeles when construction was completed in 2012.
The 50,000 sq.ft. property is in the exclusive Beverly Crest area of Los Angeles, between Beverly Hills and Bel Air, and has sweeping 180 degree views of the city.
Tony and Jeanne married on July 29, 1989 and according to documents have been separated since September 2022.
The pair jointly signed a premarital agreement just one week before their wedding, documents claim.
Now, Tony, who runs the Pritzker Group private equity firm, claims in court filings that Jeanne has refused to acknowledge the prenup as valid and enforceable.
According to divorce documents, the prenup states that 'all earnings by the parties during their marriage are the separate property of the earning party' and that 'certain joint property shall be divided equally between' the couple.
It also states that there is a limit to how much spousal support Jeanne is entitled to receive.
Tony's attorney, 'disso queen' Laura Wasser, who is fresh off her win in Kevin Costner's divorce, has filed documents to force Jeanne to either acknowledge or officially challenge the prenuptial agreement.

You would think someone that rich could “afford” someone less ick.
The divorce would still have happened but it might have been less scary getting up in the morning.
His brother is the PoS governor of Illinois.

His brother must have eaten all the chow.
Doesn’t matter how she looks or how he acts, she signed a pre-nup, her signature is on it, and in court she should lose totally. The fact that she SIGNED a pre-nup shows she knew what was possible.
Just because the terms aren’t to her liking now, men need to defend themselves against predatory judges.
I would expect a prenup to have a timeline connected to increased property shares going to the wife as decades pass.
Nice cheek implants horse face. Hope they both kill each other.
Thirty-three years is long enough to have a court look it over. A lot can happen in that time. Not saying it did or that it might make a difference but with that much money it might be worth a significant amount of it going to lawyers just to make sure everything is legit. I’m on her side even though she is unattractive to me.
Besides, if he wants to stick to the prenuptial agreement, it means he doesn’t think the 33 years is worth offering her enough to keep from needing to bring it up. Dick move.
I disagree. She probably demanded the pre-nup, most men when they were first starting in business don’t think about it.
Prenupts are not bulletproof.
However it is better to have one than not—certainly helps his negotiating position.
Sorry, what are “cheek implants“? Do people get such things?
Yep
“I would expect a prenup to have a timeline connected to increased property shares going to the wife as decades pass.”
No kidding. Pretty obvious term for a prenup, isn’t it? Maybe even put an expiration date in it, say 20 years.
Well he could claim the house is not even worth 18 million, I mean look at Mar-a-logo, that’s worth 18 million, so my house must be worth less.... 😂😂😂😂
