Many fungi are mycorrhizal with oak trees, including chanterelles, porcini, horn of plenty, and numerous others, good and bad. To cut down oaks means no more edible mushrooms under those trees. Oaks also provide habitat for a multitude of macro and microscopic plants, birds, and numerous other animals. This man is a FRIGGING IDIOT!
