Former Vice President and current GOP presidential candidate Mike Pence was blasted by conservatives on social media this week over a video at a gas station that showed him appearing to fill up the tank of a pickup truck while criticizing the Biden administration.
“Remember $2 gallon gas? I do,” the Indiana Republican said to the camera as he worked the gas pump. “And then Joe Biden became president of the United States and launched his war on energy.”
But the video, seen over a million times and meant to promote his energy independence plan, was mocked by many on social media who pointed out a beeping noise could be heard in the background that suggested he wasn’t actually filling up the tank. …

Mike Dense blowing gas fumes up our butts
Pence deliberately sought to make “our side” look like fools, by his behavior in the ad.
Not to mention that just about all gasoline pumps have an automatic shutoff that prevents overfill, barring defective ones. Certainly encouraged self-service at the pump, even in Oregon of late.
Is that a euphemism? :)
One simple move would have avoided the kerkuffle: removing his hand from the handle during the pitch.
Smokey, excellent point.
In a different thread I alluded to the ploy and was amazed how many Freepers never got past making fun of Pence over not apparently knowing how to use a gas pump because of what the makers of the ad excluded. Only a couple of people actually commented on what Pence said about Biden’s oil policy. I was amazed how sheeplike they followed the Gateway Pundit’s similar comment.
It’s irrelevant what Pence said about Biden’s oil policy, since Pence himself was one of the enablers of that policy by his actions on 1/6/21 that helped install Biden as usurper. Therefore, what could we logically expect from a Pence presidency? Pence is not up there making the case to put his former boss back in the White House, remember.
Too many people suffer from the "Look! A squirrel" syndrome and get lost in the weeds.
Please re-read what I wrote. The notion that Pence would reverse a bad energy policy he himself enabled is illogical.
No, Pompous Pence was a supporter of Pompous Carter, not Ford.
