Yep. Those were great times. So many great bands it was unbelievable.
This is an outrage!!
They left out “Stupid Girl” and “Lies”.
I’ve seen the Rolling Stones twice once in the early seventies at RFK and the other was in the ‘80s up in New York, I play music I’ve been in bands and still am occasionally and I have to tell you the Stones might sound good on record but their their live audio quality is absolutely terrible.
I still want my money back for attending those two concerts.
I’m sure the Rolling Stones will take this humorless cat lady’s demands seriously.
Aimee Ferrier needs to GFH
“The musician appears to only think of these young women (i.e., underage groupies) as sexual body parts rather than, you know, autonomous humans.”
Oh, puhlease. As if those young women didn’t think of the stars the exact same way. Everybody got what they wanted.
What a bunch of bullsh!t.
Who even thinks like the author, and especially, WHO thought that way in the 60s abd 70s?
A handful of great songs in that list.
“White Bitches” is a pretty tasteless tune as well
Ok,where are people demanding male and female rappers apologize for their incredibly offensive lyrics.???
I dont think any singers should apologize for their songs.
I dont think comedians should apologize for their jokes.
Yes sir! The best Rock and Roll Band ever!
Let me clarify. I dont think they should be forced to, i dont think there should be campaigns to make them apologize. If they do so on their own, well, they determined they needed to or wanted to. But not from orwellian groupthink demands from people just trying to score some virtue signalling points.
I heard the Stones live in 1977 - and they were considered an “oldies” band then.
They lead with “Under My Thumb” - a VERY long, great introduction before they appeared on the stage.
One of my favorite songs of theirs (favorite is “Gimme Shelter”) - had it on a .45 - I think “Have you See Your Mother, Baby, Standing in the Shadow?” was on the B side.
Aimee needs to get a life and a little tougher job. I love the Stones. She sounds like more of a Tailor Swish fan.
What about Amy Winehouse’s “F*ck Me Pumps”?
One of the songs I hate the most (and there is a LONG list) -is Mick Jagger and David Bowie’s rendition of “Dancing in the Street.”
Absolute drek...
Yes!! I love that!!
I’m sorry. I am glad I don’t know that one. I have heard the phrase used by a women who appeared to be angry (or jealous) at another very “hot” babe (she was) wearing those shoes with a short skirt.
I confess...I pretty much stopped listening to most recent pop songs since most of the lyrics seem to be generated by a “phrase algorithmic generator” and a computerized multi instrument cacophonic ethereal music track generator
Stadium shows usually are poor quality audio-wise.
I remember almost getting crushed to death the one time I saw them at The Cotton Bowl for The Steal Wheels Tour.
“Brown sugar, how come you taste so good?/ Brown sugar, just like a young girl should”.
Talking to Rolling Stone in 1995, Jagger expressed regret over writing the lyrics, stating, “God knows what I’m on about in that song.”
If Jagger really forgot what he was talking about in that song then it proves he spent way too much time in David Bowie’s bed, if you know what I mean.
I’m willing to forget all of their songs
