ESPN national baseball reporter Marly Rivera has been fired after an incident at Yankee Stadium in which she uttered the words, “X X” toward a fellow female reporter over an Aaron Judge interview, The Post has learned.

“There were extenuating circumstances but that in no way is an excuse for my actions. I am a professional with a sterling reputation across baseball and I do believe that I am being singled out by a group of individuals with whom I have a long history of professional disagreements.” Gaete is the wife of MLB vice president of communications, John Blundell.

Rivera said that she and Blundell have had disagreements over the years, which, in her view, is why this incident blew up and resulted in her firing.

The woman who got fired had 13 years with ESPN, so she was much higher on the pecking order than the other woman, who is freelance.
cat fight?
Speaks for itself.
So . . . she said “X X”? What does that even mean? Do the Xs stand for something else, perhaps something vulgar? Forcing women commentators into men’s sports has definitely been a turn for the worse. Their screeching sideline commentary is unbearable. I guess forcing tranny “women” into women’s sports is a sort of payback.
Yes, very vulgar.
So she called her what she did, I could care less.

XX? Is that an N word?
No, unfortunately it is bleeping c-word.
“I am being singled out by a group of individuals with whom I have a long history of professional disagreements.”
When everybody else is an asshole there’s only one asshole.
No, it’s obscene and vulgar, not racial.
If you’re a VP’s tart, you apparently don’t have to work as hard as other people by doing your due diligence - like setting up interview time with the Yankee team captain, as any responsible professional would.
You can just be a X X.
You know - the whole "ankles behind the ears" thingee...
How much less could you care?
Correct. MLB has a lot of Spanish speaking players and fans. This lady has a useful position as someone who can interview players bilingually. The other entitled slob thought she could just call her a vulgar bunch of epithets and hide behind her cuck husband or something.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Oh, from the headline I thought she was accusing a fellow female reporter of having two X chromosomes. But, of course, that would have called for an immediate hanging.
It's the other way around.
The fired reporter made a good call on the other entitled slob, called her some richly deserved epithets, and got fired for it.
The X X hid behind her cuck husband, and got away with her unprofessional approach to her "work".
And she'll do it again, now - because she knows that cuckboy has her useless back.
No, the Spanish speaking one used vulgar words. The one with the VP husband was on the receiving end of the words.
Thank you. I tried to read the article but the popups and photos with captions made it barely decipherable.
I don’t care so much but thanks.
At the end of the day, the one with the VP husband has a much lower status career. At least at this point.
We have truly a spectacular female reporter Shannon Drayer for our Seattle Mariners. She’s been with the team for 20’years and she is one of my favorite commentators. Smart, insightful, easy to listen to. I feel lucky we have her.
Go Ms !
