know evil? My shepherds were always super well-mannered and trained not to bark in normal circumstances. Once in awhile they would take exception to someone and I always trusted them to make the call. If my dogs didn’t like someone then I didn’t give them much room either.

Bernese Mountain dogs have spot right above their eyes. My cousin who owns one told me that the legend is they can see into a person soul. No wonder the pup barked at him.
