President Joe Biden put out a proclamation today recognizing the International Day of the Girl and stating that “my Administration has prioritized unlocking doors of opportunity and delivering the full measure of equity and dignity due to all girls.”
"I will continue to speak out for women and girls around the globe, including in Iran, where brave young women are demonstrating to secure their basic rights, and I have called on the Congress to double funding for programs that promote gender equality worldwide,” said Biden.
“When girls break barriers, they blaze trails for the generations that follow, investing in their health, safety, education, and economic security moves us closer to building more just, equitable societies and flourishing democracies,” he said. …

I never heard of it until now.
A UN resolution (66/170) created this back in 2011; the full name is “International Day of the Girl Child” in fact.
UN resolutions are typically communistic, and promoting of hatred, e.g. Resolution 3379.

There is also an International Men’s Day and an International Day of the Boy Child, but neither the UN nor the US government has officially recognized them. There is a National Sons’ Day — there’s a National everything day, it seems — but I don’t know if the government officially proclaimed that either.

Except for all those girls set to receive college admissions and scholarships for the sports they’ve worked so hard in during high school. Now boys dressed up as girls easily snatch them up instead. . .
My own girl lost a cross country race in 8th grade to a boy “identifying” as a girl. He came in 2nd, she was 3rd (a girl was actually first in that case but in 8th grade that’s still possible—not really once in high school!)
