(Apologies to Rodney Dangerfield)
Stuff happens.
As a business traveler, I eat out a lot. A year of or so ago I found some foreign object in my food. I don’t remember what it was but it was also a supplier deal. I don’t expect the cook to inspect every bit of food.
I don’t ask but the restaurant did comp the meal.
Oh come on. They didn’t even bill you for the hook. Consider it a bonus. /s
Don’t sit at a Table 11 in KL.
I sell you fish head soup, not fish head with hook soup.
Pay me for fish hook.
Actually I would be impressed that this was a fish caught the old fashioned way instead of by nets in a Chinese fish farm.
So they found a fish hook and then ate everything on the plate?
What do they think they catch them with?
Maybe it was proof that the fish was freshly caught......or something else.
Looks like the fish hook still had part of the worm on it ... should have charged extra for the extra protein.
It’s none of our business what we serve in our food for payment 🤪
After checking out exchange rates, it appears the fish head is $20. For that kind of money, I assume this isn’t the size of an anchovy. At the risk of sounding ignorant, how do you eat a (presumably) fist-sized or bigger fish head that is mostly bone? Do they fry it to the point that the bones are crispy as a potato chip, assuming that’s possible?
The customer should have had relief that the fish was Fair Caught and not from a evil factory trawler.
That’s one way for a restaurant to get their customers hooked in their establishment. 😋
Fish heads, fish heads, roly-poly fish heads. Eat them up, yum!
Can’t tell from the photo, but looks like they ate a good bit of their meal (if not all of it) before complaining?
Ever see the movie “waiting”? There is a scene where the camera moves across the dining room during the dinner rush catching parts of various conversations.... one of them is the manager talking to a customer “Mam, I am not arguing your steak was overcooked, but did you have to eat the whole thing before you complained?”.....
I think of this every time I see someone complain about something that’s really a minor issue, especially at a lower end or family type restaurant.
I get it if you are paying a fortune for high end food, small details matter... that’s exactly WHY you are paying them so much for the food, but when you are at the bag and feed, and you make a mountain out of minor issues, I am laughing on the inside at you while you do it.
Roly poly fish heads, eat them up yum!
“So they found a fish hook and then ate everything on the plate?”
I guess it tasted good.
