My first thought as well. But why involve a big company with deep pockets and a need to prove you faked it? Pretty stupid. But, then, he’s a Hollywood type and, on average, they come across as astonishingly unconnected with how the real world works. Bakes, for example only fail when the script requires it. That’s why present day movies are so bad. Stuff happens not because the story set it up to be inevitable, but because that’s what the director wanted. So just write it in. We’ll fix it in the editing room.
