Musically it is actually excellent!, that is, in this commenter’s opinion, having never actually heard it before today.
Lennon was extremely creative and was capable of expressing himself sharply and uniquely. Not necessarily endorsing his point of view at any given point in time, or as expressed in any particular song he wrote. But give the devil his due—his talent shines through. His music was and remains compelling.
