Politicians, Democrats and Republicans alike, are safe in the knowledge that "conservatives" in this day and age, by nature, will not be able to muster the violence required to revolt against a tyrannical regime. Don't want to risk that income and 401k. Anything else is just talk.
If there is going to be any kind of successful revolt against the government it will be for something the left wingers and the right agree on because the left wing goons aren't afraid to get violent.
