Any adult with a daughter would have to be excused from that jury.
“leave the knife, take the canolis”
The prosecutor can use the word “victim” as much as he wants, but that’s no victim, it’s just a dead guy who got what he had coming to him.
“No Carlo, I’m not going to make my sister a widow. I’m going to send you to Vegas”
Not guilty by reason of “punk deserved it”.
Deserves a Medal.
I know no one in Spakane, but someone HERE could plaster this all over the city.
Time and time again the Law fails. In WA the kid would have been sent to rehab or something; meanwhile the daughter has to deal with the ordeal she went through. And of course we’ll hear the tired theme of “You can’t take the law into your own hands” - question is then: who does the law belong to?
It is likely to be ‘premeditated murder.’
The guy should get a medal, but he’s likely to get life.
As to the daughter’s state of mind, whether unwilling participant upon learning of the intentions, or willing or even enthusiastic about participating, it has no legal bearing on the father’s possible defense of extreme emotional disturbance (I think justifiable homicide might be a step too far for any lawyer to consider even if we might view it that way). It seems a legitimate mitigating circumstance to me that the father had every right to be extremely angry with the victim of his assault. The daughter’s actions or state of mind would have no bearing on that.
I hope he gets a relatively lenient sentence and that this sends a message to punks everywhere in eastern WA.
Maybe a fine for littering?
That’s part of what happens when you defund the police. I’ll guess that he reported it to the police and was blown off so he took justice into his own hands. Good on Dad either way. I would have done the same.
Every father with a teenage daughter needs to put this man’s picture up in his house. Right next to his gun rack.
A jury of his peers would consist of fathers with daughters.
That would be people like me. He walks.
Give the father a community service award.
As long as he got the right target...sounds good to me.
Bullcrap.
He gets to have a trial by jury of his peers.
“ I have no problem with the dad.”

In Texas, “he needed killing” is a legal defense…..
