They had the “heat dome” on the US/Canada west coast in early July, where the daytime temps were over 110°F. But that’s a natural phenomenon.

German weather guys will readily admit that the jet stream for 2021 has been a weird occurrence. Maybe over on the far eastern side (going from Dresden to Moscow)....warmer jet stream has brought up the heat from Africa.

I’ll guarantee you that the pool management folks will say business was way down for the year, and a great part of that had nothing to do with Covid.

The high heat was in June IIRC. The Seattle area’s average high for the month of July was the lowest since 1984. Although we did just have a few days of high 90’s again last week.
