I am sure blacks are not charged with hate crimes nearly as often as whites are for the same crime, but those are the stats.
Blacks are still charged with hate crimes well out of proportion to their population, though.

Has a black person ever been charged with a hate crime?
Not in my experience. There was a "hate incident" at my alma mater, UCSD. Someone hung a noose in Geisel Library. As soon as they found the culprit was a minority student all charges were dropped. Perhaps that person was the inspiration for Jussie Smollett's hate crime that wasn't.

Let me get this straight (heh). It is always illegal for a person of any race to assault another person of any race. It is even more illegal for a white person to assault a black person for being black. But it isn’t more illegal for a black person to assault a white person for being white.
All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.
The soft bigotry of low expectations holds the black community back more than “systemic racism” does.

Now they’ll want to federalize them.

But if one has a different gender, race or religion, then that might get classified as "hate", don't you think?
So in what percentage of crimes are the gender, race or religion of perp & victim different?
It's got to be pretty high, good guess, maybe 50% and yet only a small portion get listed as "hate".
Might be the statistics conceal more than they explain?

Apparently, to the left, acts aren’t criminal, unless it is committed by a conservative against a libiot favored group.

No. I would call both of them murder or manslaughter. I don't care about the perp's 'feelz.'
The very concept of a 'Hate Crime' is an abomination. It it is the stepping stone to thought crimes, the consequences of which we can see abroad, and, to a growing extent, here in the US. A suspect should be tried strictly on the harm he has done, and not of any 'inappropriate' thought he may have had while committing the crime.
