I think that is not apples to oranges. There are fewer deaths in the unvaccinated group with many more members of the vaccinated group in the study (70 out of the 27,192 vaccinated, 44 out of the 53,822 unvaccinated).
It is unclear if the self selected vaccinated group were motivated by higher risk factors. If so they may have been more elderly or with comorbidities.
