I think it’s called the Monterey Pop Festival.

“Jeffery had also taken a $2 million insurance policy on Hendrixs life essentially making the singer more valuable dead than alive.”
So Hendrix’s net worth zooms to $175 million within a few years of the Monterey Pop Festival and Woodstock, yet he’s worth more dead (with a $2M policy) than alive?
Right. Makes perfect sense.

Have at it... No thanks. I think my oldest brother probably had a Hendrix album but whatever its appeal, Hendrix had didn't cross over into my generation.

An ex-Ranger from what I understand.
I saw him in Tulsa around 1971-ish. Foxy Lady had just come out.

Gee, so what did they do to ‘kill” Janis Joplin who’s death was about the same time?

I’m sure that the barbiturates Hendrix was so fond of, and which he had in his system on the day of his death at 18 times the recommended dosage, had nothing to do with him aspirating on his own vomit. No doubt it was all a racist conspiracy.

175 million was a lot of do re me in 1969. I doubt Hendrix was worth anything near that. Even today 175 million is a nice pile of shekels.

His net worth today is $175M. It wasnt when he died, nor is it even conceivable that it would have been. Paul McCartney had a net worth of $10M in those days.

The CURRENT value of Hendrix’s estate is said to be $175 million. It was nowhere close to that when he died.
