This is an incredibly juvenile article from someone oblivious to American History and Current Events
“history of evangelicals’ participation in and support for racist structures in America.”
Frickin’ lie. The evangelicals / fundamentalists / Christians were abolitionists, and militant about it. She must be sharing a pea-sized brain with Schiff.
Because, flawed as Trump is as a moral paragon, his enemies — OUR enemies — are devils incarnate.
Hi.
“Her race card is maxed out”
And it’s over the limit.
5.56mm
I meant to say “expired” but had a brain fart.
5.56mm
I saw that. He had to ask three times and then rejected that rejection on a voice vote which was quite clear.
Lots of people in this day and age have been married more than once. I for one am not going to judge this. Far worse, far more immoral, and far more dishonest, I think, is to remain married and cheat, as the Clintons do. I really don’t think Pres. Trump is an evil character, just a guy who has “fallen short of the glory of God” as has every single human who has reached the age of accountability who has ever walked on the face of the earth except for one man.
While no one at my bible believing church supports the dems many dont support trump either cause he isnt godly enough. Its really discouraging to me.
Basically everyone is for trump; or for some ideal obscure third party; or doesnt vote.
Americans like Trump
Liberals hate Trump.
Donald Trump is a sinner. But so am I and everyone else. The reason I can support him over democrats is because he has never tried to normalize his sins, whereas almost the whole democrat platform is to normalize bad behavior.
I support Trump because Gods Hand is clearly upon him. Who knows how all this will end? For now, he is fighting the good fight. I stand with him and pray for his protection.
It’s Racist. It’s Racist. It’s Racist. It’s Racist. It’s Racist. It’s....Barf
Shes bats.
Racist, God hating, fool.
It was Christians that ended slavery.
It was a measured, but solid, rebuke to the false dogma that has been undermining hard won heritage in country after country.
It is the height of hypocrisy for atheists to presume to lecture Christians on any issue pertaining to morality or what the Bible says about a given issue.
It doesn’t take to realize that they do not know what they are talking about.
...because they’re racist, of course.
The writer of this drivel better be careful. Her racism is showing.
As I have stated before:
I object to the abuse of the term, Evangelical, by the media, including Christian journalists.
The Evangelium - the Gospel, the Good News - is the business of all devout Christians.
As the article implies, the term really applies to a loose federation that could better be described as Anabaptist and/or Arminian.
Regardless, it is both a vague and ambiguous term - not the same thing - that excludes many Christians who actually sometimes are more consistently orthodox and conservative.
Many, many Baptists historically have been - and are - very “liberal” Democrats: Think of the traditional but not conservative Jimmy Carter. I have known such myself, as I have served in the church, and have been acquainted with many clergy from many denominations.
As for the “Non-Denominatioal” churches, they are almost exclusively both Anabaptist and Arminian; they are hardly non-denominational (neutral) in their theology. In many cases, they function as a proxy for a Baptist church.
(I was once told emphatically that I, a professing Christian who gave to missions in my church, could not possibly be an Evangelical. The man who said this was a Southern Baptist, became an ordained minister, and is a Cultural Marxist - and lifelong Democrat - who despises conservatives.)
Being traditional (old-fashioned) does not equal being conservative (orthodox).
