Excellent points, and I'll belatedly address just the Leftist/Muslim alliance. I don't think it's explained by just one thing, but by a cluster of things, some of them perhaps contradictory:

1. Leftists think they can eventually co-opt Islam, just as they coopted liberal Christianity.

2. Leftists are dimly aware of their own nihilism and moral degeneracy, and unconsciously want to be forced in line by a stronger belief, militant Islam. Christianity is despised as weak and ineffective.

3. Islam is respected because it openly allows violence.

4. Islam is liked because it despises Christians and Jews.

4. Jesus preached ideals of meekness and sexual purity which the left detests. Mohammed, on the other hand, was undeterred in both his sexual appetites and his aggression towards foes.

5. The left doesn't care whether Islam ultimately triumphs and turns on the left, just as long as it helps destroy Western Christian Civilization.

6. Muslims are perceived as "people of color," and can hence do no wrong as long as they act for the destruction of the West. All of their grievances are justified.

7. Muslim culture is superior to Western culture in every way.

I agree with the political weaponizaton of Muslims in the war against Christians. It is useful to be able to say, “See, we don’t hate all religious. This fellow monotheist is offended by your Christmas decorations.”
