Activists took to the streets Saturday to hold rallies calling for the impeachment of President Trump, as they seek to pile further pressure on Democratic leaders in Congress to back a push to oust the president.
“Donald Trump's abuses of our communities and country demand action from Congress, which has the responsibility and authority to hold Trump accountable,” a website page for the "#ImpeachTrump: Act to Defend Democracy" national day of action by left-wing group MoveOn read. “The next crucial step is an inquiry into whether to draft articles of impeachment.”
The call included a note that the actions “are intended to be nonviolent and peaceful” and that organizers expect protesters to “act lawfully” and de-escalate any confrontation.
While protests were being eyed across the country, California seemed to be the main state for the demonstration. The Mercury News reported that more than 140 rallies were expected through Southern California and across the nation overall.
The outlet reported that the day began with a protest in Seal Beach -- aptly named “Impeach on the Beach” where demonstrators spelled out “Impeach!” with beach towels.

I understand that something like 100,000 people have signed up for the Trump 2020 rally in Orlando on June 18.
Comcast and Disney want POTUS impeached. And that’s effectively the crap the Country is exposed to 24/7. Think about the few infrastructure/broadcast companies that essentially dictate the political narrative.
The diversions are Google, FB, Twitter... Yes, they suck in many regards, but Twitter gives Trump 24/7 exposure, FB is little more than a playground for parents, and Google has relatively minor (and only recently obvious) infractions against conservative views. These social media operations are not the problem. Don’t take the bait.
The boob-tube is still the major influence.

Must have not been anything on TV for the welfare lot to view that day or it was some way to ease the leg cramps from sitting all day.
Saw the news in the peoples republic of Portland, Ore. this morning.
Breathlessly reported as “dozens” of protesters showed up. Video of the event was about 20 people that looked homeless, but that is the “progressive” look too. So it is hard to distinguish between the two.
If you lost Portland, you have lost the country. The emotion they are running on is petering out...........
It was interesting how they “Breathlessly”, as you said, reported on this ‘failed’ event to garner ‘the public’.... Those who showed were the ‘usual activist groupie followers’ who love any event that brings it’s folks together for a gathering.
Interesting is college students were very low in numbers if at all in Oakland. ..must be the Obama dial a protester wasn’t an option for this.
