Justin Paperny, a former stock broker who served time incarcerated for fraud, is in talks to be a prison consultant for parents who have been charged as part of the college admissions scandal.

Paperny said he has been hired by one parent and is speaking to others, but he has not revealed which parents he is in talks with.

He said as a prison consultant he teaches people about day-to-day prison life, family visitations, and accepting wrongdoing.

Parents who have been charged in the college admissions scandal are speaking with a prison consultant to learn more bout incarceration.

Justin Paperny, a former stock broker who was incarcerated for fraud, told CBS News that he's in talks with several parents accused of paying bribes up to $6.5 million to get their children into top universities.

Paperny said he has been hired by one parent and speaking with several others, but he has not revealed which parents he is in contact with.

"They're scared and it's 'Can I survive in prison? Am I cut out for prison?'" Paperny said. "What's most surprising to me about the first conversation is how many of them didn't view their actions as criminal."

He said that he's answering questions for parents, like if there will be internet available, what day-to-day prison life is like, and how family visitations work.

Snipes did a few years for not filing tax returns. These clowns cheated by claiming these bribes as donations so that is a good start day 18 months. Then add in a few years for the corruption and three and a half years with three to serve seems right. Pile on a tax fraud civil penalty along with a meaningful fine along with five years active probation. It may not be just but it sends a message.

Good liberals like this would add diversity to the prison population.

I agree, and yes there are plenty of other classes of criminals out there too that deserve incarceration (such as many in the political class), but. And heres the but, sometimes ones highest and best use is to serve as a warning to others and to that end I say “lock ‘em up”.

Prison consultant.

You’ve got to admire some people’s ingenuity.

The first thing any decent consultant should do is get them a set of weights, so that they have a chance of holding their own there, at least against the snowflakes.

“Screw a fine. You or I would get time. They possibly prevented a truly deserving kid going to a school they chose. They can’t make it right by a fine. They can do the crime they can do the time. Trouble with our younger people is their parents suck.”

I like your comment. Think about it - is it much different than standing at entrance to one of these schools and blocking certain people from going in. After all, that is what they effectively did.

And HELL YES, these clowns have ALWAYS been able to ‘buy their way’ out of trouble. So tough crap, it’s time that they feel a bit of pain - perhaps that will help them understand the hurt they impose on others a bit more. Sets a GREAT EXAMPLE for their spoiled-rotten children too.

As to the ‘cost’, give them the option of cutting a bit off their years in jail if they pay enough fines to cover their cost, in addition to still serving most of their sentence.

But they do need PAIN, we can’t survive as a society with multiple sets of rules for people.

Martha Stewart turned her situation in to something relatively positive and ended up helping some of her “neighbors” there. Maybe they should be speaking to her.

Maybe something like the ex prostitutes providing sex therapy consulting services. It probably works. You gotta know the territory, and they do.

A “prison consultant”? Seriously? That’s a new one.

I agree, there’s no way these people should go to prison. I’m still questioning why not a single name of any prominent politician whose children got into a top-tier school, although all of them seem to somehow. Take Al Gore III for example. According to a USSS agent who knew the Gore family well, young Mr. Gore was always in trouble, was a drunk and not terribly smart, but he somehow got into Harvard. George W. Bush, by his own admission, was a C student, but got into Yale and Harvard.

You can bet your ass that there was some very selective prosecution going on in this admissions “scandal”. Neither Lori Loughlin nor Felicity Huffman are exactly Hollywood “A-Listers”; are they the most notable performers involved? I seriously doubt it.

Yea, let’s just forget about those tax, wire, and mail fraud thingies.

Nope. Throw them all in jail. Aunt Becky mostly for all those dumb Hallmark movies. Huffman I hear is a raging bitch.

They possibly prevented a truly deserving kid going to a school they chose.

Yeah, let’s start peeling that onion. Universities are full of students who played some card to get in at the expense of another student more academically qualified who was then denied. It’s all a hustle.

Tell ya what, smartass, apply prosecution for the same “thingies” to all the friggin’ politicians who skate from these and much more serious charges and I’ll agree, but it ain’t happening.

For example, everybody now knows that Joe Biden’s youngest son benefitted from Biden’s position as Vice President to the tune of millions and avoided indictment in the Ukraine after Biden exerted his influence to get the prosecutor fired - AND he bragged about it. Oh, there’s also a similar “thingie” involving China that’s just beginning to emerge. Now Biden runs for president AGAIN.

“Tell ya what, smartass,”

Bite me.

“apply prosecution for the same “thingies” to all the friggin’ politicians who skate from these and much more serious charges and I’ll agree.”

I’m fine with that.

“but it ain’t happening.”

You gotta start somewhere. And these criminal morons are as good a place as any.

Have a nice day.

When OJ was facing a lengthy prison term, he called up Mike Tyson for some advice. So Tyson asks him “OJ, you like golf, right?” And OJ answers in the affirmative and Tyson says “Well, you’re gonna love Mondays. In that federal joint where you’re headed, you will be on a work detail on the prison course that rakes sand traps, mows greens and fairways. After that’s all done, you get to play nine holes before supper.” OJ says “That doesn’t sound bad at all, Mike.” Tyson asks OJ about tennis and OJ tells him he’s been playing for years. So Tyson says “You’re gonna love Tuesdays”. That’s tennis day and you will have to clean the courts but that doesnt’ take long and then you play tennis until the late afternoon.” Again, OJ opines on how that sounds pretty good. Now Tyson gets serious and says “OJ, how about oral and anal sex?” OJ tells Tyson he’s not into that stuff and Tyson says “You’re not gonna like Wednesdays very much.”

Several years ago, Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart co-starred in a movie about this, can't recall the title. Saw it once on cable, had a few funny parts, that's about it.
