One has little to do with the other. Everyone knew John McCain was born to US citizen parents and of his family's tradition in the Navy.
And I do not believe for one second that the founding fathers contemplated a situation where US military personnel and their spouses would be living overseas for extended periods, and that they would have children born overseas. That is a situation that came about many years later, probably a couple of centuries later.
And I know damned well the founding fathers did not intend to exclude the children of US citizen military personnel from seeking the presidency under any circumstances.
