Barack Obama said on Tuesday the world should resist cynicism over the rise of strongmen, in an apparent reference to populist leaders who hold power in a number of countries. [ ]
Just as people spoke about the triumph of democracy in the 90s, people now are talking about the triumph of tribalism and the strong man. But we need to resist that cynicism, Obama said in a speech in Johannesburg to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Nelson Mandela.
Some of Obamas language echoed that of Trumps critics.
Too much of politics today seems to reject the very concept of objective truth. People just make stuff up. We see it in the growth of state-sponsored propaganda, we see it in internet-driven fabrications, in the blurring of lines between news and entertainment, Obama said. We see the utter loss of shame among political leaders, where they are caught in a lie and they just double down and they lie some more.

Unctious little snit. He filled in the blanks of his speech...got paid...tried to look like a normal guy doing his dance...oh yeah...get yo’ groove on dude...what a silly act.
100 percent correct.
Projection from someone who knows exactly what he’s talking about first hand.
On your old tagline, you could change it to say:
The Media lie 90 % of the time , the other 10% , they don’t tell the truth.
bam was there to cheer on the racists as they take money and property from Whitey and plan how they are going to eliminate Whitey.
bam be down wit dat!
This coming from a dictator wannabe......
STFU, Jugears ...
this guy can’t speak without a teleprompter for 30 seconds.
Never thought of Obama as a strongman. He had a big mouth, but I thought of him more as a pissant.
“Strongmen”. Would that be like someone who bypasses Congress and the Constitution and tries to rule with a pen and a phone? Who writes these lies for this simpleton?
He is/was a petty tyrant.
People like Ben “Dover” Rhodes, for starters.
Bet Michelle makes him wear a dress around the house.
Makes him? Such a thing would be consensual, I suspect.
