The best part of the show is the flashbacks, where [Offred, played by Elizabeth Moss] tries to figure out where was the point where it was too late. Where was the point that if we all just had risen up, just done something? But because it happens in little increments. That's how fascism works.

Red meat for the left. This President has obeyed every court order issued against his administration, he has put up with a corrupt DOJ and FBI and allowed Mueller to drag out an investigation that never should have begun.

If President Trump wanted to abuse his powers he could have just ignored the courts, he would have fired the entire top management of the DOJ and FBI and then pardon everyone under “investigation” by Mueller then fire Mueller.

He has done none of those things. So there in no indication that he wants to extend his term beyond two terms. And there is no indication that any one would support such an unconstitutional move, his supporters would be the first to turn against him.

So like everything Mike says or does, it is a lie.

Something interesting to me about the left pushing this Handmaid’s Tale narrative is how so many of these protests have featured leftists screaming, “Shame! Shame! SHAME!!” I first noticed it with Kirstjen Nielsen and again in several clips yesterday. Isn’t that lifted directly out of the book? (I haven’t seen the Hulu series, but I can’t imagine they omitted it.) They seem to have decided the book is a great idea, as long as they can get it implemented first.
