Yeah, I was thinking the same thing - lately it’s never a specific lie, it’s always the vague “all/always lies”.
As for the inauguration, that’s a classic example of how the media turns a truth into a lie. Trump said something like most viewed or most watched - he never said most ATTENDED. But the media spun in that way and made it all about crowd size, adding - AHA, we can prove he lied. But Trump’s word choice makes it about eyeballs - not feet, which based on network and internet coverage stats, makes his statement more credible.
Right you are. Stupid media, claims of dishonesty are a great way to turn the public against a candidate (gore in 2000, Hilldawg in 2008 and 2016) but it helps if the lies are demonstrable.
