CEOs receive $38 million to $70 million per year and more, plus benefits. (We dont know, of course, what President Trump earns.) Then, these CEOs fire thousands of their employees.
Companies are closing. People continue losing jobs. Others remain unemployed. Nearly one out of four children in the U.S. are homeless and/or hungry.
This extreme wealth is truly obscene. How many cars, houses, boats and $50,000 coats do the 1 percent need to maintain their status and rip off everyone else, as Trump has?
A mean-spirited Trump and Congress now propose a budget that would sharply reduce health care for the poor, public school funding, Planned Parenthood and protections for a healthy climate and future, and sharply cut food stamps. The housing shortage has become increasingly desperate for the poor, even more so with an ignorant, incompetent Ben Carson in charge of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The president and the right-wing Republican Congress would do all this to further enrich the extremely wealthy. How pleased they are with themselves. What does this say about their values and humanity?

Oh...and then I’m often hungry about 10pm...my husband says we should apply for help...we’re seniors, ya know
An actual quote from DU posted alittle bit earlier..
“Why not just start executing sick people. That is what the GOP is doing in actuality. They are just killing them and their future with this onerous piece of shit. That is because they are racist to the core.”

I LOVE the DU website. This stuff is the greatest !
Take every bit of money from everyone you consider to be rich and distribute it all to the poor but it still wouldn’t fix anything.
Therefore an average CEO of a big firm making 50 million, if they worked for free ( which why would they?) his or her salary divided amongst the 3,000 workers at the average firm would increase their salary 15, 000 dollars per year. Which might be great the first year, but with nobody in leadership , what incentive at the top would the company have to make plans grow and make a profit so that people could advance and even make more money? 15,00o dollars extra one years salary after the CEO is canned and pay redistributed to the workers , would be far less than if the CEO was allowed to stay and lead the company so that the workers have a stable job year after year with the chance of advancing in pay. Even at minimum wage, of 15,000 yearly , if pay is doubled by canning the CEO, but the company goes out of business the next year total accumulated income would be 30,000 dollars compared to for example a growing business with 10 years of emplyemenbt one could net 150,000 dollars minum or more if they advance with the CEO in position. Simple math, that people seem to not understand, the CEO making 50 million a year would not net employees more money if they confiscated their salary!
And the thousands of children in the trash dumps and shanty towns. Oh, the horror.

Hey you Maroon, the people get the jobs that create the cars, houses, boats and coats the rich buy and use.
Tell you what, whiners of the world, GO OUT AND DO SOMETHING. Make a big company, be the CEO, and live on $75,000 a year and pay your workers great wages.
Repeatedly do this; get others to do the same thing. Employ tens of millions of people.
You’ll make your point, help the economy, and shame all those people who have worked hard to earn their rewards.
You know, rather than whining from the sidelines while sitting in Mommy’s basement.
For some real fun, make grandma eat dog food before you throw her off the cliff and shoot her.
Tell us about Hollywood, Beltway Left and MSM rich and how they share get back to us.
Yes, dog food is a nice follow up snack after waterboarding grandma.
I do have to admit though, without getting fed at school, many would go hungry. Not most, not 50k per county (I’ve seen posters), but many (IMHO).
Their parents are responsible. You could always tell which kids hated their homelife. They weren’t happy on Friday and especially the holiday and summer breaks.
I read the Robb Report so I was unaware of any of this
“Nearly one out of four children in the U.S. are homeless and/or hungry.”

THAT IS THE WAY OBAMA LEFT US!!!
Obama looked the other way on the homeless problem.

I used to take that magazine and helped my half brother sell exotic animals through it. Unreal photography.
Yeah, because they view the economy as a pie, and you just slice it smaller and smaller. Now some people have too much pie, better make it fair and the rich people quit hoarding so much......
What a crock. GROW THE PIE, people. Grow the pie. Unleash the entrepreneurs and businesses, to DO WHAT THEY DO.... Who cares if it is based on greed, if the pie is growing? If you can’t contribute to that growth, at least don’t try to kill it.
It would be wildly entertaining and hilarious, if it were not so disturbing to know they live among us.
See my tagline...
Good point!
Here in Maine, when the dimwitted democrats passed a so-called “luxury tax” in the 1990’s that included a surtax on large boats and yachts, many shipyards and boat yards here in Maine either laid people off or fired them altogether, because the “rich” started buying used boats and yachts that were not subject to the tax.
End result: a lot of young middle class guys with young families lost their jobs.
I love DU too-——last night I read one criticising Karen Handel for the fact that she only had a high school diploma.
Astonishing for these “champions” of the downtrodden.
