So let me see if I understand this convoluted mess. Al Queda was Sunni, funded by Sunni Sauds, which supported Iraqi Sunni which then turned into ISIS where they began fighting their Shia enemies in Iraq, Iran, and Syria.
Now, because our politicians are bought by the Sauds we need to bomb Assad. Oh, and we need to bomb ISIS but we fly a couple sorties a day against ISIS and most times our planes return with ordnance.
Just what the hell are our goals? Who is the enemy? One might think it was ISIS to hear the talk BUT WE CREATED THEM AND ARMED THEM so I am just not too sure about that.
Drop an Iron Curtain around the whole moose limb cess pit and walk away would seem to be the sanest action. WE DON’T NEED ANYTHING THE MUSLIM WORLD PRODUCES. Not as far as I can see.
When we overthrew Saddam and defeated the Iraqi military, we (the US) refused to allow the former Iraqi military to integrate or participate in the new Shia government and military.
So,Al Queda, was formed by the disenfranchised, former Iraqi military units, complete with their command and control structure. It soon morphed into ISIS with US State Dept help and funding.
ISIS is not a collection if ignorant street rabble like out news media depicts them, they are a coherent fighting force that 0bama thought he could use to depose governments in the area he didn’t like, and not have to mess with congressional approval.
