I think Russia has intercepted intelligence, probably from Israel that the US and England intend to shoot down their planes.

I agree .. I don’t think shooting down a Russian jet has any redeeming value at all.
We’re already being attacked with missiles being launched at our ships; do we really want to escalate this thing right now .. when we have so much upheaval inside our country.
And .. who in their right mind believes, for one moment, that Obama would consider allowing the shoot down of a Russian jet ..??????????? Not gonna happen.

What's doubly insane about it is that these people, like the Clinton team, are willing to start World War III for the sake of protecting Sunni jihadi fighters in Syria rather than over any vital western interest.
From the way this MP is behaving, you'd think that Russia or Assad were trying to take the Falkland Islands, though given the warped priorities of liberal internationalists, a lot of British MPs would probably rather go to war for the sake of Sunni jihadis than for the sake of their own territory.
