I can’t believe how drugs are everywhere today; it has become so common there is no doubt that the “war on drugs” has been an absolute failure. When I was younger (mid-40s now), there were long-hair hippie types that were into it but most kids never got into it; today the most normal-looking kids (and adults as well) take some form of illegal drug or other. I’m surprised at how many parents just accept that there teenage children smoke pot; they’ve really bought into the idea that it is harmless. Those same parents sometimes host “supervised drinking” parties for the children, oblivious to the legal risks they face or the potential consequences to their children (health or legal-wise) - underage drinkers can have their drivers licenses suspended or pushed back (despite the fact that no vehicle was involved in the drinking incident.
