ime running short, Republicans and Democrats agreed Tuesday on a $1.1 trillion spending bill to avoid a government shutdown and delay a politically-charged struggle over President Barack Obama's new immigration policy until the new year.
The compromise will permit virtually the entire government to operate normally through the Sept. 30 end of the fiscal year, with the exception of the Department of Homeland Security.
Funds for that one agency will run out again in late winter. That will give Republicans an opportunity to try to use the expiration as leverage to force Obama to roll back a decision that will suspend the threat of deportation for an estimated 4 million immigrants living in the country illegally.

Money won’t help when The SHTF.
And the type of Government you seem to love won’t be able to help you.
Battered wife syndrome. No one wants to admit that their thug partner kisses them on the first Tuesday in November and slaps them to the ground on Wednesday.
Are we talking about real money yet?
And amnesty.

You were one. I was another. The work now is in convincing others, including some people here who claim to profess conservative principles, to put their votes where their mouths are.
SO...this is a real spending BILL and not another continuing resolution band-aid??
And if Boy-King wants more (i mean just a smidgeon over a measly trillion)— he can throw a temper tantrum and veto.
I registered as an Independent years ago. Looks like from now on I will simply vote on Local races and propositions. Done. Not one more vote from me.
It’s a real spending bill, but that’s all that can be said for it.
Blocks the Sage Grouse rule but does nothing to block EPA “climate change” rules. The war on coal continues unabated.
electric bills will keep soaring.
With few exceptions at the federal level, it’s really up to the states’ governors, state representatives and appellate system to start hitting the reset button now. Fedzilla and the UNIPARTY of DC have to be stopped in their tracks.
This spending bill today was the last straw for me. They absolutely fully funded everything they’ve railed against and even gave a billion dollars for the illegals. If there was any way we could I’d go full Galt. Unfortunately every dime of income we have is fully documented and we are both retired so can’t hide a penny plus we are in the category that is now considered rich. We are paying through the nose for all this crap and I’m peeved!!!!
I’m done with them.
Obamacare fully funded until Sept. 2015.
You own this.

These Congress Criminals stick a knife into us and future generations. Criminals.
Liberal republicans agreed with liberal democrats to do this.
***********
Liberal Republicans constitute most of the party. That’s just reality. There’s no reason to believe that the GOP will every morph into a conservative party (i.e., one with the serious objective of minimizing the size of the federal government).
Both parties continue feeding Fedzilla but the one-size-fits all government behemoth clearly does not work and in fact only leads to more dysfunction, waste and control over the lives of its citizens. This, IMO, is the central problem we face today. We need to restore federalism.
Unfortunately, neither party wants to do this. The Republicans say they do, but we all know that’s just not true. Its a ruse to gets votes and money from its base.
Back to your comment, you’re right. There’s way too much agreement going on between them. They are two sides of the same coin.
Of course, these criminal class members agree on it. It isn’t their money.
