That is utterly stupid logic. You assume that you know the motivation of others. It is exactly like saying "If there was anything to this, Hillary would have used it." Which is also utterly stupid logic.
Republicans won't even demand a balanced budget. They are absolutely terrified the media will portray them as "Racist" or something. They roll over like lapdogs because the real power in this nation is the ability to influence the masses, especially the stupider ones.
You posit one possible reason for them failing to act, when the reality is that there are plenty of other possible reasons for them sitting on their @$$. They seemingly do it with everything else too. (Benghazi, IRS gate, Fast and Furious.)
The Republicans in congress are cowed, and getting them to do ANYTHING is difficult. Their failure to DO SOMETHING is not proof that the issue has no import or evidence. It merely proves that they are consistent in their response to any Obama scandal.
One thing is true of every troll I’ve ever encountered. They genuinely have no conception of what it means to have a rabid press backing Obama/Dems ALL the time, & attacking conservatives & the TEA Party—& even ordinary GOPers, come to that—with the same relentless ferocity. Perhaps it’s because, like the intellectual featherweights at DU, they actually think the press tilts right. Nothing would surprise me at this point, nothing.
Whatever the reason, you can spot a troll a mile away by this one item alone. I.e.: they NEVER factor in the practical results of having a foaming-at-the-mouth Obot MSM.

Just this week did the Republican-controlled House (joined by six Democrats) voted out a Contempt of Congress citation against Lois Lerner for her complicity in the targeting of Tea Party groups for IRS audits?
Have investigations in the House been launched into the pathetic, failed roll out of Obamacare?

On and on I could go but neither being “cowed” nor the criticism of the rabid Obot media have stopped any of the congressional investigations mentioned above. Nor has the Obot media impacted on Congress’s ability to put Eric Holder and Lois Lerner in jail, if they chose to.
