No Discrimination In New Elks Lodge
A new Elks lodge has been formed in Honolulu, but it's not one to be confused with the lily-white Elks of Waikiki whose club here was the locale of much "Spearhead for Americanism" activity and for speeches by the racist, Jack Tenney. The new lodge is called "
Waikiki Lodge No. 1304," though its clubhouse is actually at
1316 N. Vineyard St., and its name is the
Improved
Benevolent and
Protective
Order of
Elks.
The sign says: "Waikiki Lodge No. 1304" but that building is located
three miles south of 2994 Kalihi Street!
