Hey, we don’t know for sure who his mom is/was, so go thru the list and see if any were alive after 1970.

Obviously the Dunhams could say his real mother had died even if she hadn’t! And would say that, otherwise why would they be taking care of him. Sheesh...
Even a 6 yr old would see that.
