The Constitution doesn’t say any of that. The Constitution prescribes the oath to be taken.

I agree, though, that the only way to remove a putative President is impeachment and conviction. Then he must be arrested and tried for his crimes.

There will be no post-POTUS trial, conviction or punishment. We have a precedent of not pursuing ex-Presidents, klintoon was a very rare exception and that was merely a slap on the wrist. The precedent has to do with our stated national goal of “peaceful transition”.

Shunned is a different story. Nobama will be shunned just like Nixon. Klintoon is shunned everywhere except in the smokey dem backrooms.
