George Orwell understood, NPR approves.
Yes, there was some similarity between the Hitler domestic program in Nazi Germany and the Obamaton 'Rats in the US today: like centralized control of the economy through all-powerful government, government health care, gun grabbing, and government repression of opposition political parties, for starters. Unless we in the US changes course, these similarities will become more apparent in future, regrettably.
But Nazi Germany above all was a militarized state with an ultimate goal of aggressively expanding to rule all of Europe. American foreign policy was thankfully never like that, but the current 'Rats support a historically more wimpy policy toward the outside world, as compared to historical American standards. That's kind of the opposite of Nazi Germany in that respect.
Don't blame Nolte for suggesting that the American "right wing individuals" would perpetrate violence in "celebration" of Hitler and his birthday. Blame the NPR reporterette who Nolte is quoting for Breitbart.com.
Ooops, my bad...
Those bastards!
1889-04-20 to 1945-04-30 |
Sounds familiar. Although Onkel Adolf could manage without twin teleprompters!
The right celebrates 4/30. The left celebrates 4/20.
In other words, Hitler was a Democrat.
#49 is now going into my phone to text to my liberal brother.
#20 - Bringing Jerry Garcia into this thread? Seriously?
watch
I know people aren’t big on reading the actual articles here but Nolte didn’t say that, he’s just quoting NPR.
Yup. I messed up.
Socialists believe that society would be perfected by eliminating the capitalist class. Fascists believe that society would be perfected by eliminating the inferior races. Class, race. Either way, somebody has to be eliminated.
Yes, Jerry Garcia....seriously. I never cared for the Grateful Dead, their persona or their music.
To get to jab at those maggot infested hippie types about their cult hero being born on the same day as a mass murderer is just to delicious to pass up.
Then there is Earth Day, in two days being the birthday of another mass murder enabler and leftard cult hero, Lenin.
You really think comparing Jerry Garcia to two men who killed millions
is rational? Seriously?
Who said I was comparing? I have some fun with them and give them a buzzkill at the same time. April 20th is April 20th to me. It’s no more special than any other day and I have no more allegiance to Jerry Garcia, then I do to any other musician.
I have never understood the cult-like following of the Grateful Dead. There have been better musicians and more talented songwriters before him, and since. There was nothing groundbreaking about their music and I have found Garcia’s riffs to be fairly simple to learn to play.
I do find most Dead-heads to be profoundly annoying, disgustingly liberal, and completely out of touch with reality. So why not take a swipe at them by giving them a buzz-kill on and about their holy-day.
