I don’t know what you’re wondering about. Either things are going badly and people need to prepare or things are going swell and they’re preparing for nothing. I’ve been armed since my 15th B-day in 1970 and have been buying guns and ammo ever since then. So have almost all the people I know. There is nothing new about that in my world.
I told my wife about a dream I had, where I kept shooting the bad guy and the bullets just hit his shirt slowly and then dribbled onto the floor.
She quipped “Probably now that you got your concealed carry license your brain is going ‘what good is having a gun if I can’t kill someone’”.
That was many years ago. Now she wants her own pistol for her birthday!
Oh. STILL haven’t shot anyone.
