Fred,
Check these two posts and see the similarity of attacks on most FReepers who were labeled OBOTS and ConcernedFReepers [sic]

As to your immigration question, I have no answer to that. I’m just not keeping up that much and certainly don’t know the laws except Napolitano’s laws that release criminal illegal aliens to intimidate We The People who might just have been pushed too much not to pay attention.
But that’s another story that isn’t worth hijacking the thread.
Oh that’s simply gorgeous! The same Text! Reminds me of John Hunt and Barbara Canon Rusk, both starting off their stories about visiting mother and baby at the boarding house on Capital Hill, they said, word for word, they had been to Utah and had been to the World Fair in Seattle...someone must have given them both the same script! We have the record of both in our research notes, but of course the article attributed to John Hunt has been removed.
People do make the silliest mistakes, don’t they?
So the immigration question re the arrival of the boy in Hawaii remains unexplained. That he was on his own however appears to be correct. And the name? That’s also unknown.
Just checked the notes, compare the stories:
Another class mate, Barbara Cannon Rusk, recalls visiting Stanley Ann Dunham and her baby son Barack at her apartment on Capitol Hill in Seattle shortly after the end of these spring quarter classes. (1962).
I had moved to Utah for a while after high school, and I came back to Seattle in the summer of 1962. I remember visiting the Worlds Fair, and then stopping by Stanley Anns apartment on Capitol Hill. It was a small apartment, upstairs. It was after June, and could have been as late as September, 1962. I visited her for half a day or so. It was after the end of the spring quarter classes, and she wasnt in classes, and didnt have a job. I recall her being melancholy at the time. I had a sense that something wasnt right in her marriage. It was all very mysterious. First, her husband wasnt there, he was already off in Harvard. I didnt ask her about the relationship, feeling it was a private matter. My daughter Michelle was just a few weeks younger than Stanleys son, who she called Barry, and they played together on the floor.
Sum 1962 — Sighting by John W. Hunt in June-Sept 1962 “I had moved to Utah for a while after high school, and I came back to Seattle in the summer of 1962. I remember visiting the World’s Fair, and then stopping by Stanley Ann’s apartment on Capitol Hill. It was a small apartment, upstairs. It was after June, and could have been as late as September, 1962. I visited her for half a day or so. It was after the end of the spring quarter classes, and she wasn’t in classes, and didn’t have a job. I recall her being melancholy at the time. I had a sense that something wasn’t right in her.”
Of course the source of the John Hunt story is no longer available...
