Philadelphia cop who punched woman on video to be fired

PHILADELPHIA - October 3, 2012 (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Police Officer who was caught on video punching a woman will be fired.

Action News has learned that the officer, Lt. Jonathan Josey, will be fired on Thursday afternoon.

Since this almost never happens, I think we can safely assume that the cop actually did do something wrong.

So hopefully, the apologists can now revise their opinions on the apparent propriety of the actions of the officer in question.

Apparently, this cop's bosses have sided with the "cop-haters..."

I am frequently astounded at the willingness of many so-called patriots to excuse Tyrannical police behavior, all in the sacred, holy name of upholding law and order...

Update. Local ABC affiliate says cop will be fired.

During his press conference Tuesday, Ramsey described the incident on the YouTube video as very troubling and, from what he saw in the video, the use of force applied was in excess of what was needed.

So then the use of force was needed but its application was excessive. No surprise in that statement.
