No, Nana, I have not taught that one in the Primary Classes at church. We have a teching manual we follow which, to date, has not included it.
But that song I quoted sends the same message and I am happy and proud to teach it.
As regards, “Jesus Loves Me,” I have sung it to each and every one of my grandkids to put them to sleep...just as I did to my own kids, and just as it was sung to me.
“Jesus loves me this I know,
For the Bible tells me so.
“Little ones to Him belong,
They are weak, but He is strong.
“Yes, Jesus Loves me,
Yes, Jesus loves me,
“Yes Jessus loves me,
The Bible Tells me so.”
Sometimes at the end I would substitute, “My Papa tells me so,” for the grandkids or eearlier, “My Daddy tells me so,” for my own kids.
And each and everyone of them knows it by heart.
It too is a very good song for children and adults alike, and holds (as I explained in my prior post) the power to help youth get pointed towards their Savior, and helps fulfill what I consider to be the vision of the founders by creating a moral society based on the moral values that, if followed, produce a people who do not require at all such an overburdensome government. They govern themselves.
How touching.
Jesus loves everyone. Who will be saved?
