In all the time I have been on FR, II have come across some shameless hypocrisy. But this takes the freaking cake. In SPADES.
I came across a post by Mojito on the Homo General thread and he was very upset. But he’s fully willing to elect a man who has a long record of putting the rights and benefits of homosexuals over those of normal people. So I decided to dig a little deeper.
Our resident Romney apologist has several Reagan quotes on his about page. I want him to explain with a straight face how it is that he can revere Reagan with the following quote plastered on his about page...
“We don’t intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldnt make any sense at all.”” President Ronald Reagan
... and then turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended and have more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition elected President.
So fess up Mojito. Square up these to 100% contradictory things.
Oh and I also want to point out the obvious. A person who declares before one and all one thing and then less than 13 hours later does exactly what he said he would not do is a man of no integrity at all.
Live with everyone seeing that clearly
Nice catch.
My prediction is Mojito will take that off his home page and replace it with some quote praising pragmatism.
I think we've actually found a possible contender, however... elsewhere on this very thread! ;)
Earlier, one of the more insufferably pompous and self-adoring trolls hereabouts self-identifies (truthfully or otherwise) as being "Almost as old as your 'Miss Desmond'"; a woman in her mid-50s, in the immortal Sunset Boulevard.
A mere few posts later, however, said wankmeister then claims, simultaneously, to be "in [my] 80s."
What we have here, in other words, is either what the kids nowadays refer to (or so I'm told, at any rate) as "a lying sack"... or else, the poor, fumbling, fuddled dear is suffering from the most hideously accelerated case of Progeria in all the recorded annals of medical history. ;)
