Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.
But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.
And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.
And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.
That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.
Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.
You’re quick, “presently no screen name”!
Well, liberals ‘feel’ about everything so I guess it’s impossible to avoid hurting them.
Try Conservatism. More thinking, less ‘feeling’ Better results too. Except they are increasingly harder to come by as more and more people abandon everything to support the lesser of two liberals.
Well, doing the right thing often means doing it alone I guess. But the door is always open for all you lost sheep to return to the flock. ;)
Sooner or later, I fully expect America to be put back on its principled, moral, constitutional basis. As Winston Churchill said: “You can always count on Americans to do the right thing - after they’ve tried everything else.”
I’m going to bed. Good night.
I’m sure you’d love to post your victories in our battles...had you any. But I have faith that eventually you’ll come to know the wonder that is my intelligence/the glory that is my logic.
A veritable Einstein/Sherlock Holmes I am ;)
The question I asked you in post 975 was a simple question.
“Isnt Romney striving to become a God someday?”
You answered yes.
Now you are going deep into some Mormon evasion tactic.
The truth is that of course Mitt expects to become a God someday, as do you.
You need a session with Mormon missionaries.
The next time they come by, ask them if they can become a god with their own planet and numerous wives to populate it.
They will tell you yes they can, if they choose to.
It's all a dream darlin', you are sleep typing right?
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching you received from us. For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you, nor did we eat anyone's food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to make ourselves a model for you to follow. For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: 'If a man will not work, he shall not eat.'
Proverbs is replete with such kinds of instruction.
Who says, you are a NEOCON, RINO WORSER that HITLER Even.
Happy?
That has been my (and I know many other's) fervent prayer. Good chatting with you, EV. Sleep well.
Mitt Romney does not expect to become “a god.” He strives to emulate Jesus — as in he strives to be as sinless and good and loving as possible — as do I, as should you, as should all Christians, AS THE BIBLE TELLS US TO DO. If you don’t understand that, I cannot help you further. Good night.
In the 2008 election cycle I saw Mormons evade, slip around the truth, lie, anything to keep from admitting to the public what they actually believe.
A simple question about Mormonism would be asked, one that people already knew the answer too, had the Mormon scripture and teachings to prove, but the Mormons would deny and lie, and evade for months, but occasionally, one would finally answer truthfully, it was rare, but amazing to see, religions don’t do that, only cults do that.
And, again, I believe you’ve misread what Jeff wrote, and if you knew Jeff, then you wouldn’t be insulting him by such a question or insinuating he had. And to the contrary, God certainly does expect us to “help ourselves.”

First of all, my mother was a famous pioneer as a reading specialist, so I know there is nothing wrong with my reading comprehension. I do not think it is an insult to ask someone to clarify what they said. As to God telling us to “help ourselves,” I find that some serious twisting and taking scripture out of context. “Consider the lilies of the field....” Are you Jeff’s official apologist?
You are a good one.
I’m glad you’re mother is a reading specialist. I’ve a master’s in education, with a bachelor’s in English. As far as twisting Scripture around, the finger is pointing your direction, not mine.
As far as being Jeff’s apologist, if you wanted your comment to be private discussed, and your criticism in secret, then you should have sent it to him via private message. Posting such a comment in a public forum allows all to read, join in with you, or criticize you.
That is good Mormon training, what does that Mormon teacher say? ‘don’t answer the question that they ask, answer the question that you should be answering’.
The question is does Mitt Romney expect to become a God someday?
“Isnt Romney striving to become a God someday?
We both know the answer is yes, that he gets his own planet and becomes it’s God.
