Robert Heinlien, in his masterpiece Starship Troopers proposed that only military veterans be able to vote. Imagine what this country would be like were that rule enacted.

I'd be ecstatic if you had to be a property owner or a tradesman to vote and had to be a military vet to be eligible to be president.
