I know everyone is worked up about the presidential election but let's talk about something else for a moment. Lets talk about citizenship, the 2nd amendment, and the supreme court. Starting with citizenship, why are we born citizens? I think Heinlein had it right. Everyone, even the natural born Americans should have to earn citizenship. Everyone born here should have basic inalienable rights, but they should not be able to vote unless they are a citizen. Military service should guaranty citizenship assuming there was no dishonorable discharge. Otherwise you should have to keep your nose clean graduate high school and do something for the good others or the good of the nation then apply for citizenship. Some of the best citizens of this country had to earn it. They have respect for this great Republic, unlike all the pansies out there who curse the constitution, and the founding principals while leaving the gate wide open for free loading degenerates that come here illegally. I say send them all back and embrace the concept of earned citizenship for all.
As for the second amendment, it is not for us to hunt, it's there for us to have a means of defending ourselves from a tyrannical government. That is what it's for. Every citizen should be able to carry a gun at all times to defend them selves from the government when a final crack down happens. You should be able to carry any concealed weapon assuming you are not a felon so that you can have an escalation of force when killing isn't necessary. In fact I believe that there should be no tax stamp for silencers and automatic weapons. Currently you can only buy automatic weapons that where built before 1986. That is unconstitutional and was put in place to drive up the cost so that you average Joe couldn't purchase one.
Now the supreme court. Rarely do they come to a reasonable decision. Most of the time they screw us and there appointed for life. I got two words for all you freepers. "Term Limits"
I should have included my opinions on the school system. My apologies. I am an advocate for abolishing the current socialist indoctrination camps as you call them. If it were up to me, which it’s not, I would leave education at the local level. If we fixed it high school wouldn’t be so bad to have under your belt.
All rights but the vote would be inherent to non citizens
I did say, “and do something for the good others or the good of the nation.” I haven’t decided on specifics yet, but yes community service would show some dedication to your fellow man and it would be admirable.
Your reaching a bit at the end there.
“Veterans vote should count 5x. Weighted vote.”
Agreed! And were we to do that, the veteran percentage of the vote would be just about where it was after the two World Wars. America was a better place.
The problem with all of this is that rights are granted by our creator.
And I know Marines think they are God...but I never saw one walk on the water to a fight.
(just kidding Tomas)
You do realize that after the race hustlers, activists, community organizers, special interests groups, politicians, and lawyers (basically every corrupt faction in the country) have their say, liberals would make sure to weed out those who they determine won’t use their vote the “right” way.
Guess who gets weeded out and never gets to vote.
No thanks.
