I know everyone is worked up about the presidential election but let's talk about something else for a moment. Lets talk about citizenship, the 2nd amendment, and the supreme court. Starting with citizenship, why are we born citizens? I think Heinlein had it right. Everyone, even the natural born Americans should have to earn citizenship. Everyone born here should have basic inalienable rights, but they should not be able to vote unless they are a citizen. Military service should guaranty citizenship assuming there was no dishonorable discharge. Otherwise you should have to keep your nose clean graduate high school and do something for the good others or the good of the nation then apply for citizenship. Some of the best citizens of this country had to earn it. They have respect for this great Republic, unlike all the pansies out there who curse the constitution, and the founding principals while leaving the gate wide open for free loading degenerates that come here illegally. I say send them all back and embrace the concept of earned citizenship for all.
As for the second amendment, it is not for us to hunt, it's there for us to have a means of defending ourselves from a tyrannical government. That is what it's for. Every citizen should be able to carry a gun at all times to defend them selves from the government when a final crack down happens. You should be able to carry any concealed weapon assuming you are not a felon so that you can have an escalation of force when killing isn't necessary. In fact I believe that there should be no tax stamp for silencers and automatic weapons. Currently you can only buy automatic weapons that where built before 1986. That is unconstitutional and was put in place to drive up the cost so that you average Joe couldn't purchase one.
Now the supreme court. Rarely do they come to a reasonable decision. Most of the time they screw us and there appointed for life. I got two words for all you freepers. "Term Limits"

I agree with this one
Citizenship should be an earned status
Lets say...
Three years of service to the Country
Could be Military, CCC, or other Service, but
Must be Under Command,
Served Faithfully,
Discharged Honorably
graduate high school

Gee! All this extra time in a godless socialist indoctrination camp, how is this going to help citizenship?
You can always leave the country.
Not a chance. That makes the individual a servant of the state, not the other way around. It means our rights are not inherent but are at the whim of the state. It is akin to how feudal systems operate.
.
Indeed, it is slavery.
How come when we speak of the importance of preserving (for example) Mexican culture, which is like tacos, salsa music, donkeys, having lots of children, and working hard, we can’t similarly extol the virtues of American culture, which is driving around in cars, eating too much junk food, inventing incredible stuff, television, sports, and yes, the ability and more importantly the right to own firearms?
Voting should be weighted based on your tax returns, The more taxes you pay the more your vote counts. Say 1 vote for every 5K in federal tax for the previous 4 years. This one “man” = one vote thing is BS. Anyone on public assistance doest not get to vote.
It effectively begins to change the constitution to “You have these rights if....”.
I think I prefer my rights God given.
Military. Not anything else. No Community Service, no nothing. You wanna vote, you join the Military and do your time. You dont want to vote, you can join any damn thing else.
You can’t make it through boot camp. No problem, you tried and you can’t vote. Se la freakin vida loca. Don’t like it, you get a free one way ticket to, Communist China, North Korea, Iran, ........even Syria.

pardon the double post
Earned Citizenship is the first step in creating a Meritocracy
IMHO - the Republic is Broken and must be Replaced

It is a very durable form of Governance
Agreed.
Veterans vote should count 5x. Weighted vote.
Mandatory military service for citizenship is OK, unless the military is allied with the Muslim Brotherhood under orders from a Muslim CIC, and is assisting the MB in cleansing Christians from States that don't wish to be part of the World Caliphate.
I would have trouble serving in that military.
Same with graduating from public school government indoctrination center. I would have trouble with that, also.
Note my tagline.
As was said before,
Rights are inherent to all
They are not infringed
However...
If one does not Serve the Country,
The Country is not obligated to Serve back
The Obligating of Service is Mutual
This includes ALL the Social Supports
There is no Obligation to Serve the Country
You are Free to do what You Will
But the Social Services of the Government are for those Served
Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Government Schools, etc.
Voting in an innate aspect of this
A Vote is a Command to the Government to do your Will
The Government is not Commanded
unless one has served Under Command
I would go along with the military requirement, if the 19th Amendment were gone first. ;-)
