That article needs to be parsed carefully, Alice Dewey is as slippery as a bucket full of eels. Our interpretation was, Alice also accompanied Stanley Ann Dunham and zero on that first visit to Kenya, after the death of the kenyan student in 1982.
There's been no record of Stanley Ann Dunham 'working' in Africa - or Kenya - that we could find.
That’s interesting, I’ve read many places on FR threads about Stanley Ann’s work with craftspeople and microloans etc in Indonesia, and she spent time in Pakistan doing I know not what (but maybe the same or a simliar gig?) but I don’t recall anything about doing that in Africa. I wonder why Dewey would want to place her in Africa.
