How to Spot – and Defeat – Disruption on the Internet

"... classic lessons on how to spot disruption and disinformation tactics.

1. Start a partisan divide-and-conquer fight or otherwise push emotional buttons to sew discord and ensure that cooperation is thwarted. Get people fighting against each other instead of the corrupt powers-that-be. ... Appeal to people’s basest prejudices and biases.

Sidetrack opponents with name calling and ridicule … Associate opponents with unpopular titles such as ..."

This makes others shrink from support out of fear of gaining the same label..".

3. Demand complete, fool-proof and guaranteed solutions to the problems being discussed. "... and pretend that it’s not worth talking about the details of the - manipulation. - This discourages people from reporting on and publicizing the corruption, fraud and other real problems. - And it ensures that not enough people will spread the facts so that the majority know what’s really going on.

4. Suggest extreme, over-the-top, counter-productive solutions which will hurt more than help, - or which are wholly disproportionate to what is being discussed. ..." This discredits the attempt to spread the facts and to organize, and is simply the web method of the provocateur.

6. Coordinate with a couple of others to “shout down” reasonable comments.

The following 4 tactics ... are also still commonly used:

11. Become incredulous and indignant

Avoid discussing key issues and instead focus on side issues which can be used show the topic as being critical of some otherwise sacrosanct group or theme. - This is also known as the “How dare you!” gambit.

12. Use a straw man. --- Find or create a seeming element of your opponent’s argument which you can easily knock down - to make yourself look good and the opponent to look bad.

Either make up an issue you may safely imply exists based on your interpretation of the opponent/opponent arguments/situation, or select the weakest aspect of the weakest charges. - Amplify their significance and destroy them in a way which appears to debunk all the charges, real and fabricated alike, while actually avoiding discussion of the real issues.

14. Question motives. Twist or amplify any fact which could so taken to imply that the opponent operates out of a hidden personal agenda or other bias. - This forces them on the defensive.

15. Associate opponent charges with old news.... so much the better where the opponent is or was involved with the original source.

Specifically... readers will learn about the specific disruption tactic being used … in context, - like seeing wildlife while holding a wildlife guide, so that one learns what it looks like “in the field”.

For those of you wondering why this Lebanese family tree appears on this thread, let me explain that it is in furtherance of the “Mal-Val” theory which holds that Lebanese Christian Valerie Sarruf is Barack Obama’s mom and Malcolm X is his dad. If this theory is true this family tree appears to show that Obama is a second-cousin, once-removed from the recently notorious Lebanese twins, Jill Kelley and Natalie Khawam. Very amusing, that.

The whole Mal-Val theory is controversial and there is a 1000 comment FR thread dedicated to the topic.

The “Mal-Val” youtube video at the link was posted by FReeper Polarik (Dr. Ron Polland) in August of 2011 and while morphing the image of a woman named “Val” into an image of Obama, he insinuates that “Val” is Obama’s mom. One year later this youtube has only 1,150 views.

In July 2012, two FReepers associated the woman, “Val,” in Polarik’s Youtube with Lebanese actress Valerie Sarruf and have posted multiple images of her at various ages on FR eligibility threads. I am opening this thread to invite discussion of and links to any evidence that either supports or refutes a claim that Valerie Sarruf is Barack Obama’s mother, with or without Malcolm X being his father.

Where could Malcolm X and Valerie Sarruf have been in 1960 when baby Barry would have been conceived? Is there any evidence that Sarruf could have been pregnant and delivered a baby in 1961? In what country could the baby have been delivered? How and when could the alleged Mal-Val baby have been inserted into the identity and life narrative of the person we have come to know as Barack Hussein Obama?

Full disclosure: I refute categorically all of the Mal-Val narrative as wildly speculative and unsupported by any evidence that I have seen so far.

According to a biographical history of the Obama family, written by Peter Firstbrook, The Obamas: The Untold Story of an African Family (2010), BHO Sr.’s good friend Leo Odera said that BHO Sr. learned, while studying in Hawaii, that back in Kenya his wife Kezia was seen “out and about,” dancing in nightclubs, in the company of other men (page 207). Up to that point, BHO Sr. had remained in touch with his wife and children, via letters; but when he learned from friends in Kenya that Kezia was stepping out, he became, shall we say, disenchanted. He eventually stopped corresponding with his wife altogether when he learned through friends that she was pregnant by another man. He wrote to Odera:

She has disappointed me because she is expecting another child.

I am watching EWTN LIVE show, the live show now on EWTN, www.ewtn.com -> to the live show.

I was so shocked when I got a look at the guest - I just wanted someone else to SEE this guy - and am wondering if you can make anything of it.

He has a BIG mouth, with RED LIPS, then see the EARS, altho small - STICK OUT. etc. He is sitting but seems to be TALL, and THIN. (What if this construct mated with a black ~

I guess there would be a way to find his ethnicity. I think I heard the red lips are found in some asian people.

What seems sad to my way of thinking is that for at least two years I’ve been trying to show the results of certain research, which indicates that a birth certificate was raised for a child who wasn’t in Hawaii on the date that one little girl was born and died the next day, that it looks like her birth data was replaced by a false declation, that was processed in its place. Step by step, it’s the most straight forward and simple explanation. That is what resulted in the birth announcements, and none of this had anything to do with zero, who wasn’t there, and neither was Stanley Ann Dunham. She’s just a name on a piece of paper.

The child and his nanny Stanley Ann showed up in Hawaii - he, with the name of the kenyan student’s child, which was actually born to Anna Obama and babysat by Mary in January...and she, to enroll at the U of HI. And where she was before that, in between leaving Mercer Island where we couldn’t find her after 1959, and 1963, is anyone’s guess.
So there you have the first part. That tells you - you do not know who his parents were, where he was born, or when.

And it’s at this point the cabal who operate in the confines of the private mail bunker, usually make their presence felt, and tell me I should be grateful for being allowed to post such conspiracy garbage on this website. That there is nowhere else that would tolerate me.

No matter how many images, graphics, documents and sources I include, I’m dumped on. Complaints are made. The one thing they never do, is debate. Well, they’ve won the day, I’m totally exhausted, I no longer give a d*mn my dear, and I’m going back to my original interests. My original intent was to try and educate people a little more about what islam is, I started that in 2003 and that’s what drew me here. I simply got sucked into the politics. Contrary to what I have been accused of, I don’t have any evil agenda.

Thanks for listening. It seemed a good time to bring it up. I read a post dated from 2009 a couple of days ago, and couldn’t get over how nice and polite everyone was. What happened? Zero happened. One theory I heard recently was that Barry wasn’t his purported mother’s son at all, but an illegitimate son of the 9th Rama of Thailand, who was given to the young second-generation CIA woman to raise as a favor and safe-keeping for the Rama. The Rama btw was a musician and composer of jazz, so hanging around a surprising number of black folks around the supposed time of this.
