Aging rocker and reality TV personality Ted Nugent is emerging, even ahead of Donald Trump, as Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romneys most embarrassing public supporter.
Nugent is at it again, reacting to the Supreme Courts ruling upholding the Affordable Care Act by writing in the Rev. Sun Myung Moons Washington Times that America would have been better off had the South won the Civil War.
A full Nugent rant, which might be subtitled Robe Rage:
The bottom line is that Chief Justice Roberts traitor vote will ensure more monumental spending and wasted taxes and put almost 15 percent of the nations gross domestic product under one of the worlds most bureaucratic, ineffective, incompetent and grossly expensive systems ever devised by man: our out-of-control federal government.

This is true, not only on this forum, but any forum.
I’m laughing so hard. This thread is hilarious. I’m new but so far I am loving Free Republic.
Grow some thick skin. Some folks here don't play well with others.
Lately is seem a more Freepers are kinda edgy. You know what with the Fascist Police State takeover and all, some are quick to anger.
The context was before she announced she wouldn't run, when many of us were hoping that she would run.
Welcome to FR.
I love how there’s no argument with the actual points in your post, ‘cuz that would have been hard - just snark about your tagline. Cute!
I did not say there were only slave owners and racists in the south. The north had at least three slave states and perhaps 40% of the population was racists or at least didn’t mind slavery. With that said, ultimately the dominant politcal will to end slavery existed in the north....in spite of these facts.
Face it, the ‘slave thing’ is just a bad legacy down in the south because they fought to the death to save it as an institution. I know it sucks to get saddled with that legacy because it diminishes a great culture, the idea of states rights, not to mention the good name of the southern way of life.
Well then. Allow me to be the first to hit on you.
It’s an old Free Republic tradition, to be hit on by Laz.
LOL! Well thank you. I’m honored to be hit on by you and being new, glad to be part of any Free Republic tradition.
Thank you for the welcome but it does not change the fact that you think Sarah Palin would not have been a worth candidate and Michelle has more patriotism in her little finger than most politicians on the hill.
Where did I say that? Palin was my first choice, but she didn't run. Frankly, playing "will she, won't she" probably finished her off as an electable future candidate. Too bad, because I was looking forward to Palin 2012.
and Michelle has more patriotism in her little finger than most politicians on the hill.
Agreed, but she gaffed herself out of the race. The fact that she couldn't overcome her tendency for gaffes, even knowing the bias against Conservatives, shows me that she isn't ready. Too bad, because she's right on most of the issues I care about.
“Hank already wrote that song, Ted...so dont get too carried away with the idea.”
Give thanks for Hank!
Sorry, I must have misunderstood. I like both of them a lot.
I stand with the Nuge.
